As a Senior Audio Designer at Lighthouse Games, you will own the design and implementation of new and exciting audio features and soundscapes, with limited supervision from your Lead. You will use your creativity and drive to push for higher quality in everything you do, and proactively seek opportunities to improve our title and audio processes. You engage with potential risks and aid the wider team with emergent issues. You will use your knowledge and experience to help raise the quality across the whole team, providing support and guidance to those just starting out.
Key Duties Include
- To produce excellent quality work with limited supervision, following all submission processes and guidelines
- To conduct thorough testing of audio components for clarity, balance, and integration within the game, and help guide improvements to those processes
- To be able to plan work with minimal oversight, and reliably and consistently deliver according to those plans
- To produce clear and detailed technical documentation for audio processes and asset management with minimal alterations required after review, and review audio documentation written by others
- To have excellent knowledge of an area of audio design, taking responsibility for the stability and improvement of that area
- To independently engage with members of other disciplines where appropriate
- To provide support and guidance for less-experienced members of the team
- Pro-actively seek opportunities to improve the quality of everything we do
- Actively take part in and encourage our collaborative and creative team spirit
Requirements
- Experience of at least one full production cycle as an audio designer for video games
- Experience supporting, mentoring other team members
- Highly proficient with audio middleware (Wwise preferred) and audio production software
- Advanced (studio and field) recording and audio production skills
- Strong Critical Listening, Problem Solving, and Communication skills
- Keen ear for detail, and strong quality control
- Work cross-discipline to deliver a strong and cohesive playing experience
- Passionate about video games and sound design
Desirable
- Experience working in Unreal Engine 4 or 5
- Experience working in REAPER
- Experience working with current generation consoles
- Experience working in and coordinating dialogue pipelines
- Experience casting voice talent
