As a key member of the audio team, you will be given ownership of sound design & mix for our cinematics. Working alongside the Lead Audio Designer and other audio team members, you will be responsible for all cinematic content in our game. When needed, you’ll work on interactive game features too, so knowledge of Wwise and game engines is desirable. As an embedded member of the Cinematics team, you’ll collaborate with developers from multiple disciplines, acting as an advocate for audio and using your creative voice in discussions and reviews. You get to put your stamp on a key part of a unique and memorable gaming experience.
As a team player you are keen to share your knowledge and ideas and grow your own expertise, helping develop those around you, mentoring more junior staff members while building your own leadership skills. The successful applicant will learn and adapt their workflows to our bespoke inhouse tools – and of course help shape how these tools empower us to keep making better audio.
You’re passionate about sound design too, always looking for ways to improve the audio in our games. You will have the use of incredible facilities here at Playground, with a plethora of kit, as well as opportunities for field/location recording, and beautiful Dolby Atmos rooms for asset creation and mixing.
This is a contract role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa, with a hybrid work model in place. Relocation assistance is available if required.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join an established, experienced, and collaborative team in one of the world’s most exciting games studios. It provides many challenges for a sound designer looking to further their career and create world class games.
