We're seeking an experienced Dialogue Lead to join our Star Wars team. The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience in game audio production with a focus on dialogue. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dialogue production, from editing to implementation, ensuring high-quality voice performances that bring our characters to life. This role requires a blend of creative and technical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments. We're looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling through audio and can contribute to creating an immersive experience for our players.

What You'll Do…

  • Supervise the editorial, mastering, and creative processing of all Cinematic and Gameplay voice-over (VO).
  • Oversee the organization and implementation of VO in the Wwise project.
  • Collaborate with the Narrative team to coordinate casting for voice-over characters.
  • Prepare recording scripts and game capture videos for voice-over sessions.
  • Coordinate with the Localization team on schedules and English recorded assets.
  • Work closely with the Narrative team to generate and implement temporary dialogue using Text-To-Speech technology.
  • Record and edit temporary VO as needed.
  • Manage the creation and implementation of specialized character voices (e.g., droid voices) using existing vocal libraries.
  • Oversee the transcription and implementation of subtitles for cinematics.
  • Collaborate with various departments including Narrative, Audio, Animation, and Localization to ensure cohesive dialogue integration.

Ideally, you will have...

  • 5+ years of experience in game audio production, with a focus on dialogue editing, implementation and recording.
  • Proven track record of shipping AAA games with high-quality dialogue.
  • Strong understanding of voice-over production workflows in game development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Reaper) and game audio middleware (e.g., Wwise).
  • Experience with performance capture production and on-set dialogue recording.
  • Familiarity with localization processes for game dialogue.
  • Knowledge of Text-To-Speech technologies and their application in game development.
  • Ability to manage large scale projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for creating immersive audio experiences in games.
  • Familiarity with the Star Wars universe is a plus.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine is beneficial.

Nice to have...

  • Direct and supervise voice-over recording sessions, ensuring high-quality performances.
  • Attend performance capture (PCAP) shoots to monitor dialogue quality recorded on set.

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $107,600 - $147,100 CAN Annually

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $122,400 - $176,300 USD AnnuallyBase salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
